Short and honest. This covers everything Realila collects from you: your email address, if you give it to us, and a record of the pages you visit and the actions you take on the site. Where a sentence here would be a guess, it says so instead.
- What we collect
- Two things. Your email address, and only when you enter it (on the waitlist, or when you create an account). And usage records: we record the pages you visit and the actions you take while you are on the site. A usage record holds no IP address, no browser or device identifier, and no record of the site you arrived from.
- What a usage record contains
- The path of the page you were on, the name of the action (a page view, a click, a calculation), and details of the thing you interacted with, such as the visible text of a button or the size of your browser window. These are individual records of individual actions. They are not aggregate, and calling them aggregate would be untrue. We keep them because they are the only way we find out which parts of this product are confusing and which tools nobody uses.
- What is attached to those records
- Nothing that identifies you, unless you have agreed to it. If you have not agreed, whether because you said no, because you are signed out, or because we have not asked you yet, nothing is attached: no account, no session, nothing that joins one record to the next. Today nothing is attached to any usage record we hold, whether or not the person agreed. Attaching your account to your own records once you have agreed is something this platform is built to do and does not currently do, and we would rather tell you that than describe a linkage we have not seen work. Before 9 September 2026 we attached an identifier whether or not you had agreed. We stopped, and we stripped those identifiers out of the records we already held rather than deleting the records, so the counts stay honest and you do not stay in them.
- What we use it for
- Your email address, for one thing, which you agree to when you enter it: to email you when Realila Research opens. We will not send you anything else unless you separately ask us to. Every email we ever send will include a way to unsubscribe, and unsubscribing stops all of it, not just one kind. Your usage records, for one thing: to count how the product is used, so we can fix what is confusing. Nothing else.
- We do not sell or share it
- We do not sell your email address or your usage records, and we do not share either with third parties for their own use. We do not send anything to a third-party analytics service. The usage records described above are our own, and they stay with Realila.
- Unsubscribe or delete
- You can ask us to remove you from the list, or to delete your data entirely, at any time. Email edwingoh@realila.com and we will action it. Deletion is complete and permanent.
- Where it is stored
- Your email address and your usage records are stored securely with our infrastructure providers (our database and hosting run on Supabase and Vercel). When we email you, Resend delivers that message on our instruction — it processes only your address and the message, nothing else. Access is restricted to Realila.
